#14 Cal State Northridge Overpowers Fresno Pacific, 15-3

Thousand Oaks, Calif. – It was a great start for 14th-ranked Cal State Northridge during Friday morning action at the Posada Royal Invitational at the Samuelson Aquatics Center on the Cal Lutheran campus.

The Matadors recorded its biggest one-sided victory of the season with a 15-3 decision over Fresno Pacific.
Cal State Northridge featured a balanced attack as nine different CSUN players scored at least one goal. Freshman Marisa Young led the attack with four goals. Lindsy Nelson and Melissa Doll each added a pair of goals.
The Matadors jumped to a 5-0 lead after one period, and increased their lead to 8-0 at halftime.
Both CSUN goalkeepers saw action. Dana Harvey played the first half with two saves. Freshman Kiernan Davis played in the second half. Davis collected five saves.
The victory raised CSUN's record to 5-11. Fresno Pacific fell to 2-12.
At 3:30 p.m., Cal State Northridge will face Concordia (Irvine).
