Samantha Dirks reached the NCAA West Preliminary as part of the Matadors' 4x400 relay ... ran the anchor leg as CSUN finished 22nd in qualifying in a time of 3:42.53 ... qualified for both the 100 and 200 meters as well as the 4x100 meter relay at the Big West Championships (May 12) ... ran a time of 12.31 in the 100 meter prelims and 25.00 in the 200 meter prelims but did not qualify for event finals ... ran the anchor leg of the 4x100 relay that finished second in the conference in a season-best 46.04 ... posted season-bests of 12.16 in the 100 and 24.91 in the 200 at the Cal State LA Twilight Open (Apr. 19) ... did not compete during the 2012 indoor season.

Dirks redshirted both the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Matadors as a true freshman.
