Bonnie Murphy Resigns as Matador Women's Golf Coach

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Bonnie Murphy, who recently completed her eleventh season (2011-12) as head coach of the Cal State Northridge women's golf program, has announced her resignation.

According to Matador Athletics Director Rick Mazzuto, a nationwide search for Murphy's replacement as head coach will begin immediately.

During Murphy's tenure (2001-12) as head coach, 12 CSUN players gained all-conference honors, ten women were named to the Big West All-Academic squad, and five student-athletes were named academic All-Americans by the National Golf Coaches Association.

Murphy, who competed at CSUN (1996-00), was a two-time Big West Coach of the Year.
