Northridge 14th After Two Rounds of Anteater Invitational

DOVE CANYON, Calif. - The Cal State Northridge women's golf team posted rounds of 332-320 and is in 14th-place after two rounds of the Anteater Invitational at Dove Canyon G.C.

In their final 54-hole tournament before the Big West Championship in late April, the Matadors hoped to gain some momentum but instead are 23 shots out of the top-10 heading into the final round on Tuesday. Northridge is 14th out of 15 teams while four Big West teams are among the top-seven.  

Three Matador players are separated by four shots heading into the final round. Junior Margo Dionisio is the highest ranked Matador player as she is tied for 39th at (+16) 158 following back-to-back rounds of 79. Ellen Krausse is two shots behind Dionisio in a tie for 48th at (+18) 160 after back-to-back rounds of 80 and Sharon Shin is two shots back of Krausse at (+20) 162 following rounds of 83-79. 

The other two Matador players struggled as Lady Samson is tied for 75th at (+30) 172 following rounds of 90-82 and Jennel Alexander is 80th at (+35) 177 after posting rounds of 92-85.
