Solid First Day for CSUN Track & Field at Mt. SAC Relays
WALNUT - Cal State Northridge got off to a fast start Friday at the annual Mt. SAC Relays at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Both the men's and women's 4x100 relay teams ran season-bests as the men's team of Derrick Harris, Carl Horsley, Darquis Rucker and Nicholas DiMartino finished first among 18 squads in a time of 40.51. Individual highlights on Friday included Monique Griffiths finishing 10th in the discus after tossing a season-best 167-4 (51.00). Tiana Webberley continued to vault well this season after clearing 12-7.50 (3.85) which is not a season-best but a good finish within the competition according to Matador head coach Avery Anderson.
