Jose Luis Garcia saw action in 10 matches in his first season with the Matadors. He had two assists and two points and also took six shots, five of which were on goal (.833). Garcia had two assists against then-No. 7 UCLA (10/22), setting up the equalizing and game-winning goals as the Matadors beat the Bruins 3-2 and won on the road against UCLA for the first time in school history.

MOORPARK COLLEGE

Garcia competed for the Moorpark Raiders from 2008-09 as a left back. He was named a team captain in 2009 and led the squad in scoring. Garcia was also named to the All-Western Conference First Team both seasons.

FRANCES POLYTECHNIC HIGH SCHOOL

Garcia played soccer for the Parrots of Frances Polytechnic High School (Sun Valley, Calif.) in 2007-08 as a midfielder. He was a team captain both years and graduated in 2008.
