Matadors Ninth After Two Rounds of Anteater Invitational

IRVINE, Calif. - Kyler Sauer put together his best 36-hole total of the spring and is 12th after two rounds of the Anteater Invitational. As a team, Cal State Northridge is ninth among 12 teams heading into Tueaday's final round at El Niguel C.C.

Sauer posted rounds of 75-74 for a two round total of five-over par 149. Sauer is just six shots behind leader Daniel Chian of Long Beach State who sits at one-under 143.

Oscar Sachs is tied for 30th at nine-over 153 after rounds of 77-76, Zach Leonard is tied for 43rd at (+13) 157 following rounds of 80-77, Steven Molumby is tied for 49th at (+14) 158 after back-to-back rounds of 79 and Ryan Green is tied for 53rd at (+15) 159 following scores of 81-78.

Jared LeGrand is competing as an individual and is tied for 65th at (+24) 168 after posting scores of 90-78.

Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State share the lead in the team race as both carded a two-round total of 593.

The final round is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
