NORTHRIDGE, Calif. –
The Cal State Northridge baseball program will host a training camp this fall at Matador Baseball Field for all players in grades 6-8, head coach Matt Curtis announced Friday. The camp, which runs from October 23rd to November 20th, will be broken down into two sessions each week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, for five weeks.
The training camp will give youth baseball players instruction at the Division-I level with a total of 23 hours of college-style practice. On Wednesdays, camp will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature defensive drills, bullpen sessions, hitting drills and baseball-specific conditioning workouts. Sunday practices, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., will include pregame batting practice with instruction and game sessions.
The cost of attending the Fall Training Camp is a one-time fee of $325 per camper and includes all sessions. Campers are required to fill out a registration form and athletic department waiver (both linked below) and pay the camp fee before the first session begins.
Parents of campers are invited to attend and watch the sessions from the stands at Matador Baseball Field. Parking on campus is $6 per day and is enforced at all times and passes are available at any information booth or self-serve parking pass station. Parking is available along the street adjacent to Matador Baseball Field or in any campus lot.
