Matador Soccer Field is the home venue for the CSUN men's and women's soccer teams. The venue began operation at the start of the 2002 season when the men's team defeated visiting Fresno State, 2-0, in the site's first match on Sept. 15, 2002. The field's capacity is 1,980 with bleachers lining the west side.
Player benches are located on the east side and the field also features concession stands. The largest crowd in the venue's history came on Sept. 22, 2013 as a standing-room-only crowd of more than 2,300 watched the No. 3 Matadors face off against cross-town rival No. 11 UCLA.
The 2010 season marked the return of nighttime soccer to CSUN, and the women's team hosted seven home games under the lights that season.
Matador Soccer Field is located south of Matador Diamond and west of the Matador Tennis Complex. Parking to attend Matador soccer matches is available in Lot F5.
