Mory Ties for 30th at NCAA Pacific Regional

STOCKTON, Calif. - CSUN senior Felix Mory wrapped up his collegiate career Wednesday, finishing tied for 30th at the NCAA Pacific Regional at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Mory, who began the final round tied for 21st following a second round 70, finished with a round of 73 which left him one-over for the day and even-par 216 for the Regional.
After an early bogey at No. 4 Wednesday, the Matador senior bounced back with birdies at No. 7 and No. 9 to make the turn at one-under. Needing to post his best round of the tournament to have a chance at advancing to his first NCAA Championship, Mory birdied the par-five 11th to get to two-under. But a double bogey six on his next hole dropped him back to even par and a bogey at No. 14 dropped him to one-over where he remained at the conclusion.
Mory wound up posting rounds of 73-70-73 to finish at even-par 216 which leaves him with a season scoring average of 71.97.
In his two NCAA Regional appearances, Mory finished 23rd at the Stanford Regional in 2017 followed by his 30th place finish Wednesday.Â
