Seventh-Ranked Cal State Northridge Water Polo Team Opens 2014 Home Season

Northridge, Ca. – The seventh-ranked Cal State Northridge women's water polo team will unveil its 2014 home schedule on Wednesday, March 12, when the Matadors face Azusa Pacific (2:00 pm) and Claremont Mudd-Scripps (7:00 pm).

Both games will be played at Matador Pool. Admission is free.

At 4:45 pm, Azusa Pacific will play Claremont Mudd-Scripps.

CSUN is currently ranked seventh in the nation, the highest ranking attained in school history.

The Matadors have won five straight games to raise its season record to 13-5.

Balanced scoring continues to be the norm for Cal State Northridge. Eight players have scored in double figures this year. The list includes Marisa Young (34 goals), Jenny Jamison (28), Lindsy Duncan (26), Kelcie Ferriera (26), Molly Henehan (13), MacKenzy Fowler (13), and Kelcy Barott (11).

Kiernan Davis has recorded 110 saves in 18 games; an average of 7.24 saves per game.
