NORTHRIDGE - 2007 Kayla Wright was one of two Matador players, along with Val Kepler, to appear in all 31 matches and 117 games ... started 18 matches ... comes into her senior season ranked third in Northridge history with 2,240 career assists ... recorded a team-high 757 assists (6.47 per game) as a junior which ranked ninth in the Big West ... also served a team-best 39 aces which tied for seventh among Big West players ... now has 88 service aces in her three-year Northridge career ... also contributed 83 kills in 163 attacks (.374 hitting percentage) and posted 248 digs which was third-best on the Matadors ... posted a career-best and Northridge season-high 63 assists in the Matadors' five-set win over Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 2) ... had 44 assists in a three-game sweep over UC Riverside (Sept. 29) and 42 assists in a 3-0 victory over Fairfield (Nov. 23) ... finished the season with nine double-doubles which gives her 30 double-doubles for her career ... recorded a career-high 24 digs in Northridge's five-game win at Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 15) ... had a career-high four aces on three different occasions ... was named to the Big West Academic All-Conference team for the second consecutive year. 2006 Wright appeared in all 28 matches and 100 games for the Matadors ... ranked second on the team with 593 assists (5.93 assists per game) ... ranked 10th in the Big West in assists per game (5.93) and finished tied for ninth in the conference in service aces (0.31 per game) ... finished second on the team with 31 aces and was fourth in digs with 244 ... also added 39 kills while committing just six hitting errors in 75 swings for a .440 hitting clip ... posted a Northridge season-high 39 assists in a five-game win over San Jose State (Sept. 16) .... finished the season with a team-high 12 double-doubles ... recorded 19 assists and a season-high 17 digs at UC Santa Barbara (Nov. 11) ... served a career-high three aces on four different occasions ... was one of seven Matadors named to the Big West All-Academic Team. 2005 Appeared in 26 matches and 90 games as the Matadors' primary setter ... recorded 890 assists (9.89 assists per game) to rank first on the team and seventh among Big West setters ... also recorded 213 digs (2.37 digs per game) which ranked fourth on the Matadors ... posted 85 kills, hit .275 to go with 18 aces and 36 total blocks to round out a solid freshman season ... tied for the team-high with nine double-doubles ... tallied a season-high 57 assists, along with four kills and nine digs at No. 25 Pepperdine (Sept. 3) ... posted her first collegiate double-double in the season-opener against Arizona State (Aug. 26) ... notched 30 assists, six kills and 17 digs at Pacific (Oct. 1) ... dug a career-high 19 balls at UC Davis (Nov. 4).
