Men's Soccer to Host Boy's Identification Camp August 4-5

The Cal State Northridge Men's Soccer program will be hosting its annual Identification Camp this Saturday and Sunday at Matador Soccer Field, the coaching staff announced Tuesday. The camp will be open to all boys ages 15-19 and will give players the chance to learn about the campus and train with an NCAA Division I program.

The camp, on August 4th and 5th, is limited to a total of 35 field players and five goalkeepers on a first come, first served basis. The camp sessions will be conducted in small groups that allow for more individualized instruction by the Matadors' coaching staff, led by five-time Big West Coach of the Year Terry Davila.

The ID Camp is designed to give participants the opportunity to learn about the program and university, while displaying their skill sets to the coaching staff at the same time. Sessions will include small-side games as well as technical and tactical assessments.

Included in the cost of registration is a lecture on strength and conditioning at the collegiate level, an overview of NCAA rules and regulations, and a tour of the CSUN campus. Participants will also compete in full 11 vs. 11 scrimmages.

The cost of registration is $165 per participant, which includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. All participants are required to complete a registration and waiver form, both of which are linked to below. For more information and to register, contact Associate Head Coach Yossi Raz at
