NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -
Due to heavy rain in the San Fernando Valley, Friday's baseball game (Feb. 28) between Cal State Northridge and Washington State has been cancelled. The two programs are still scheduled to play on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. as well as on Sunday, March 2, at 1 p.m.
The Matadors and Cougars were able to get in the first game of their series on Thursday before the rain arrived to bring much-needed relief to Southern California. Nick Murphy sent the Northridge fans home happy with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning.
At this time, no make-up date for Friday's contest has been announced. Fans are encouraged to continue to monitor GoMatadors.com, @GoMatadors and @CSUNBaseball on Twitter, and the CSUN Front Row App for updated start times or cancellations for the remainder of this weekend.
