NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -
(Update - 2/27/14 at 6:54 a.m.) - Weather conditions in the San Fernando Valley have forced Thursday's doubleheader against Washington State to be moved to just a single game a 12 p.m. at Matador Field. The doubleheader was originally scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Below is a release originally published on February 25, 2014, regarding start times for this series.
Due to the threat of rain in Southern California this weekend, the schedule for Cal State Northridge Baseball's series against Washington State has been modified. Rather than playing one game each day from Thursday through Sunday, the teams will now open the weekend with a doubleheader on Thursday, Feb. 27.
The Matadors and Cougars will play the first game of the doubleheader on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Matador Field. Following the conclusion of Game 1, the teams will take a 40 minute break before starting the second game of the series.
Games scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 28 - March 2) have not been affected at this time. The modified schedule with the added game on Thursday allows the teams an extra opportunity to work around the storm and complete all four games if the weather allows.
