Irvine, Ca. - The 14th ranked Cal State Northridge women's water polo team suffered its second one-goal loss on Sunday with an 8-7 loss to seventh-ranked UC Davis to conclude play at the three-day UC Irvine Invitational.
Jessica Coy and Tara McGinley each scored two goals for the Matadors.
Earlier in the day, ninth-ranked Loyola Marymount scored two fourth period goals to hand the Matadors an 8-7 loss.
Whitney Delgado tallied three goals while Coy added a pair of goals to help give the Matadors a 7-6 lead after three periods.
But the LMU defense held CSUN scoreless in the final period.
