#14 Cal State Northridge Falls To #9 Loyola Marymount At UC Irvine Invitational

Irvine, Ca. - Ninth-ranked Loyola Marymount scored two fourth period goals to hand the 14th-ranked Cal State Northridge women's water polo team an 8-7 loss during Sunday action at the UC Irvine Invitational at Corona Del Mar High School.
Whitney Delgado tallied three goals while Jessica Coy added a pair of goals to help give the Matadors a 7-6 lead after three periods.
But the LMU defense held CSUN scoreless in the final period.
Cal State Northridge will conclude Sunday's competition with a 2:45 p.m. game against seventh-ranked UC Davis.
