Northridge, Ca. – After a well-earned eight-day break, the seventh-ranked Cal State Northridge women's water polo team (15-5) returns to action to face Harvard University and Cal Lutheran in a pair of non-league games on Thursday, March 20.
Admission is free at Matador Pool.
The Matadors will face Harvard at 2:00 pm. At 7:00 pm, CSUN will play Cal Lutheran.
At 4:45 pm, Harvard will play Cal Lutheran.
CSUN's national ranking of seventh is the best mark in school history. All six teams in the Big West Conference are nationally-ranked. UC Irvine is sixth, Cal State Northridge is seventh followed by Hawai'I (11th), Long Beach State (12th), UC Davis (15th) and UC Santa Barbara (16th).
Ranked ahead of the Big West schools are top-ranked USC, UCLA (#2), Stanford (#3), California (#4) and Arizona State (#5).
Cal State Northridge has won seven straight games, the second-best mark in school history. During the 2010 season, the Matadors chalked up ten straight victories.
Marisa Young, Lindsy Duncan, Jenny Jamison and Kelcie Ferreira have dominated the scoring for Cal State Northridge in 2014. The quartet has scored 133 of the team's 238 goals. Young leads the attack with 40 goals followed by Duncan (32), Jamison (31) and Ferreira (30).
Kiernan Davis has collected 124 saves in 20 games, an average of 7.23 saves per game.
