Riverside, Calif. – A balanced scoring attack proved to be the winning formula for 15th ranked Cal State Northridge during Saturday afternoon action at the Cal Baptist Invitational.

Eleven Matador players scored at least one goal in a decisive 18-5 CSUN victory over Pomona-Pitzer.

Marisa Young led the CSUN scoring parade with three goals. Kelcy Barrott, Kelcie Ferriera, Taitum Herrington, Lindsy Nelson and Celena Photopulos each scored two goals.

Cal State Northridge jumped to a 5-0 first period lead, and then exploded for eight goals in the second period to take a commanding 13-1 halftime lead.
