Earlier on Friday, it was a great start for Cal State Northridge as the Matadors recorded its biggest one-sided victory of the season with a 15-3 decision over Fresno Pacific.
Cal State Northridge featured a balanced attack as nine different CSUN players scored at least one goal. Freshman Marisa Young led the attack with four goals. Lindsy Nelson and Melissa Doll each added a pair of goals.
The Matadors jumped to a 5-0 lead after one period, and increased their lead to 8-0 at halftime.

"This was a good opportunity to build on our depth during today's two games," said head coach Dr. Marcelo Leonardi. "These two games gave our younger players the opportunity to gain some valuable experience."
