Spears reached the final of the 400 meters at the Big West Championships finishing eighth in a time of 57.86 ... ran 56.99 in the event prelims ... also reached the prelims of the 200 meters where she fiished 14th in a time of 25.21 ... ran a lifetime-best in the 200 meters (24.86) at the Tiny Lister Classic (Apr. 24) and clocked a career-best of 57.77 in the 400 meters at the Steve Scott Invitational (May 2) ... finished 19th in the 60 meter prelims (8.01) at the MPSF Indoor Championships ... ran an indoor season-best 25.32 in the 200 meters at the Boise State Invitational (Feb. 13) ... also had a season-best of 58.78 in the 400 meters.
