Yvonne Castillo-Urbina reached the Big West Championships in the 10,000 meters where she finished 19th in a time of 39:27.20 ... season-best was 38:00.12 at the Cal-Nevada Championships (Mar. 27) ... also had season-bests of 11:01.31 in the 3,000 meters and 18:37.95 during the outdoor campaign ... redshirted the indoor season.

TAFT HIGH SCHOOL
Competed in both track and cross country at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, Calif. ... earned Most Outstanding Runner as a senior in 2009 ... earned Coaches Award in 2007 and 2008 and was named Most Improved as a freshman in 2005 ... the Torreadors cross country team won West Valley League titles in 2006 and 2008 ... ran the 3,200 meter event for the track team ... graduated in 2009 with a 3.0 grade point average.
