Erica Abaekobe finished 14th in the shot put at her first Big West Championships ... threw a best of 38-11.50 (11.87) at the conference championship meet (May 14) ... finished the outdoor season with a top shot put mark of 41-3.25 (12.58) ... her top throw came at the Aztec Invitational at San Diego State (Mar. 19) ... did not compete during the indoor season.

2010
Abaekobe redshirted the 2010 indoor and outdoor seasons.

ST. MARY'S ACADEMY
Competed in both track & field and volleyball at St. Mary's Academy in Inglewood, Calif. ... was the league shot put champion in 2009 and also won the track & field coaches award ... was also the MVP of the Belles volleyball team in 2009 ... graduated in 2009 with a 3.2 grade point average.
