Marie Veale advanced to her first NCAA West Preliminary Round (May 23-25) as a member of the CSUN 4x100 relay team ... ran the anchor leg for the Matadors who finished 17th in a time of 45.39 ... qualified for both the 100 and 200 meters at the Big West Championships (May 11) as well as running in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays ... reached the 200 meter final where he finished ninth in a time of 12.05 ... clocked a season-best 11.88 in the prelims which ties for ninth on the all-time CSUN Freshman list ... ran a season-best 24.27, which ranks eighth on the Freshman list, in the 200 prelims which was one spot away from advancing to the final ... anchored the Big West champion 4x100 relay which ran a season-best 44.43, the second-fastest time in Matador history ... ran the third leg on the 4x400 team that placed fifth in 3:43.26. INDOOR SEASON: qualified for both the 60 and 200 meters at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 23) ... ran a season-best 7.70 in the 60 meter prelims which was good for 20th ... was 28th in 200 meter qualifying in 25.40 ... ran a season-best 25.02 at the Texas A&M Invitational.
