The CSUN Softball program will hold a pair of camps, open to any and all entrants, at Matador Diamond on July 15 and July 16, 2014. Members of the Matador coaching staff and 2014 squad will be on hand to lead instruction over the two days.
On Tuesday, July 15, the Matadors will hold an Advanced Camp. The camp is open to any and all 7th-12th graders and is limited to the first 50 registrants. The cost is $99 and the camp will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This camp is geared toward the advanced player looking to demonstrate their skills defensively and offensively. Camp will simulate a typical practice day for the Matadors and allow each athlete to work closely with the CSUN staff and players. The day will consist of defensive and offensive station work, position specific instruction and live game situations.
The following day, Wednesday, July 16, CSUN Softball will hold an All-Skills Clinic. This camp is open to any and all 4th-12th graders and is limited to the first 80 registrants. The cost is $49 and the camp will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This clinic will focus more on instruction and teaching to help players learn new skills and techniques whether they are the most advanced or just starting to play the game. Clinic instructors will utilize unique and exciting drills to help players get better in all aspects of the game. The day promises to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for players of all ages.
