The Cal State Northridge softball program will hold its annual alumni game on Saturday, October 1 at Matador Diamond beginning at noon. All former Matadors are welcome for an afternoon game and post-contest celebration.
"We love having the chance to reconnect with all the past Matadors and introduce them to this years's club," head coach Tairia Flowers said. "We had a great time at last year's event and hope to have an even bigger turnout this time."
Northridge has a storied history in Softball, claiming four Division-II national championships in the 1980s. Since moving to Division-I, Northridge has continued the tradition, participating in the 1994 title game, the first national championship game to be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks. The team has also qualified for regionals a total of 13 times since 1992.
