How has training camp been so far?
"It's been a little more stressful this season, though it's been nice to have a set position to work and improve at. The team has been doing well. Personally, I've had some good days and bad days. Sometimes I have doubt, but that just propels me to work that much harder."
"Having those girls back has definitely made camp more competitive. They are all outstanding players and that pushes me to work harder and get better."
What have you learned working with goalkeepers' coach Juan Plascencia?
"He definitely makes me more competitive. I've learned a lot working with him and he pushes me to improve everyday. He's very patient and knows what he's talking about, so that spurs me to do better."
Did you focus on a certain aspect of your game over the summer to try and improve?
"I did a lot of work on 1 vs. 1 situations. I noticed that was one area of my game I wasn't as strong at last season. Other than that, I worked a lot on my technique to prepare for 2009."
What have been your impressions of the newcomers on this year's squad?
A: "I have been impressed. We have some good newcomers whom I think will do very well on the field and in games. I am confident in how they are learning and getting into the swing of practices and conditioning."
What got you interested in a career in fashion design?
"I've always sewed and really like designing. I was fortunate to work some assistant jobs this summer and I tend to become the team's closet when it's time to go out or for a special event. I like to make fashion that is more complimentary to a person's body type. I am a big fan of Marc Jacobs and think Sienna Miller and Nicole Ritchie have a nice sense of style."
What has been your favorite memory as part of the CSUN women's soccer program?
" I would have to say our trip to Saint Mary's last year. We had a chance to go to San Francisco and there was a lot of team bonding on that trip. We also nearly upset Cal and pulled off an overtime victory over Saint Mary's, so that was a lot of fun."
