Marisa Miller, Haley Chee and Jessa Yukihiro scored for the Matadors and Haley Hawes made four saves as the Matadors won on senior day.
October 27, 2011 Northridge Falls 3-1 at UC Riverside The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (6-9-2, 4-3-1 Big West) lost 3-1 at UC Riverside Thursday night in its final Big West Conference match of the year. An early Matador goal did not stand up and now Northridge must await the weekend's results to see whether or not theywill participate in next week's Big West Tournament.
October 25, 2011 Final Weekend Sends CSUN to UC Riverside before Hosting CSU Bakersfield on Senior Day The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team (6-8-2, 4-2-1 Big West) close out the 2011 regular season with a pair of matches this weekend. On Thursday, Oct. 27, the Matadors venture to the Inland Empire to face UC Riverside in their league regular season finale. Three days later, the team will honor its four senior student-athletes before a non-conference contest against CSU Bakersfield.
October 23, 2011 No. 21 UC Irvine Upends Northridge, 4-0 The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (6-8-2, 4-2-1 Big West) lost 4-0 to No. 21 UC Irvine Sunday night in a Big West match at Matador Soccer Field. The Anteaters' Natalia Ledezma recorded a hat trick as UCI moved past CSUN to the top of the league standings.
October 20, 2011 Matadors Post 1-0 Road Victory over Titans The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (6-7-2, 4-1-1 Big West) defeated Cal State Fullerton 1-0 Thursday evening in a Big West Conference match at Titan Stadium. Senior Heidi Farran scored her team-leading seventh goal of the season and the Matadors got some outstanding defense as they won their fourth-straight over the Titans.
October 19, 2011 Northridge Splits Week Between Road Contest at Fullerton, Home against No. 21 UC Irvine The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team (5-7-2, 3-1-1 Big West) splits its upcoming week with a match on the road at Cal State Fullerton on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. before a home contest against No. 21 UC Irvine on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. With three games remaining on the league schedule, the Matadors hope to keep pace with their league rivals to earn a berth in the Big West Tournament.
October 17, 2011 Jacobo Earns Second Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week Award In helping lead Northridge to a 1-0 Big West Conference victory over Long Beach State last week, Cal State Northridge women's soccer junior Cynthia Jacobo was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week. Against the 49ers, Jacobo made three saves as the Matadors' earned a crucial three points in the conference standings.

Junior Nicole Cruz scored her second goal of the season in the 50th minute as the Matadors snapped a five-match losing streak against the Gauchos.

The Mustangs' Cici Kobinski broke the deadlock in the 67th minute as the Matadors dropped their first league match at home since the 2009 season.
October 5, 2011 Matadors Face Mustangs, Gauchos Under the Lights at Matador Soccer Field The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team (3-6-2, 1-0-1 Big West) returns home to Matador Soccer Field for its first two home Big West Conference matches of the season. On Friday, Oct. 7, CSUN will face Cal Poly at 7 p.m. Two days later, Northridge will meet UC Santa Barbara at 5 p.m.
October 3, 2011 Cynthia Jacobo Named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week Cal State Northridge junior Cynthia Jacobo was named Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. In the Matadors' opening weekend of conference play, Jacobo helped lead the team to four points while moving up the charts in two career categories.

September 23, 2011 Matadors Storm to 3-0 Victory at LMU The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (2-5-1) defeated LMU, 3-0, in a non-conference match Friday afternoon at Sullivan Field. Melissa Fernandez had a goal and an assist and Nicole Cruz and Katie Russ added goals as the Matadors won for the first time in school history at the home of the Lions.
September 22, 2011 Northridge Returns to Action with Match at LMU before Hosting No. 25 Portland The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team (1-5-1) return to action after a 12-day layoff with a non-conference match-up at Loyola Marymount on Friday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. Two days later, the Matadors host No. 25 Portland at Matador Soccer Field at approximately 2 p.m. in the second game of a Northridge Soccer doubleheader. Heidi Farran and Chloe McDaniel scored for the Matadors, who ultimately prevailed in an exhibition shootout over the Boilermakers to advance to the championship match Sunday.
September 7, 2011 Northridge Heads to Indiana for Boilermaker Challenge The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team (1-4) ventures over 2,100 miles for its next two matches as it heads to West Lafayette, Ind., to compete in the Boilermaker Challenge on the campus of the Big 10 Conference’s Purdue. At the event, the Matadors will square off against the host Boilermakers on Sept. 9 and then face a challenge from either the Flyers of Dayton or the Jayhawks of Kansas on Sept. 11.

Melissa Fernandez registered the Matadors' first goal of the season, but CSUN was unable to stop the Longhorns' offense in the inaugural women's soccer game to be broadcast on ESPN's Longhorn Network.
August 26, 2011 Baylor Slips Past Northridge, 1-0 The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team (0-2) lost 1-0 to Baylor Friday night in a non-conference match in Waco, Texas. Natalie Huggins tallied the game's only goal in the ninth minute of action to lift the Bears over the visiting Matadors.
August 24, 2011 Northridge Heads to Lone Star State for Contests with Big 12’s Baylor and Texas The Cal State Northridge women’s soccer team (0-1) takes its first road trip of the 2011 season this week when its heads to Texas to square off against a pair of opponents from the Big 12 Conference. On Aug. 26, Northridge faces Baylor for the second time in school history. Two days later, the Matadors make the journey to Texas’ state capital to face the University of Texas.
