Matador Kylie Kimura Ties for Second at LA City Women's Golf Championship

Cal State Northridge's Kylie Kimura fired rounds of 73-72 for a two round 145 to tie for second place at the 2010 LA City Women's Golf Championship at Ranch Park. Fellow Northridge players Lady Samson and Ellen Krausse tied for 27th.
Kimura (Covina, Calif.), who sat out the 2009-10 season for the Matadors after transferring from Long Beach State, carded a three under-par 145 to finish four shots back of Monica Villareal (Yorba Linda, Calif.) who plays for Long Beach State.
Kimura tied for second with Taylor Doyle (La Jolla, Calif.) who plays for Colorado, Lee Lopez (Whittier, Calif.) who plays for UCLA and Sharon Park (Irvine, Calif.) who competed for Michigan.
Fellow Matador Lady Samson (Valencia, Calif.) and incoming freshman Ellen Krausse (Bakersfield, Calif.) both tied for 27th place at nine over-par 157. Samson carded rounds of 80-77 while Krausee finished with rounds of 77-80.
