Matadors Have Some Ground To Make Up in Hawai'i

OAHU, Hawai'i - The Cal State Northridge women's golf team carded rounds of 319-307 over Tuesday's first two rounds and is currently 14th heading into the Wednesday's final round. Sophomore Ashlee Nagamine leads the Matadors as she is tied for 46th place.
As a team, Northridge posted a two-round total of 626 (+50) which is 13 shots behind Cal Poly (613) and 13th-place. San Francisco leads the team chase at 571 (-5), 11 strokes ahead of second place New Mexico 582 (+6).
Nagamine, who hails from Aiea, Hawai'i, posted the top Northridge score on Tuesday as she is tied for 46th at 154 (+10). Nagamine posted back-to-back rounds of 77 on the par 72 Kapolei course.
Freshman Lady Samson is two shots behind Nagamine in a tie for 55th at 156 (+12) after rounds of 80-76. Senior Katrina Sutton is alone in 69th place at 159 (+15) after posting rounds of 82-77, freshman Kendall Patton is tied for 70th at 160 (+16) after consecutive rounds of 80 and junior Monique Huijsman is 77th at 163 (+19) after rounds of 86-77.
Jane Chin of UC Irvine is the individual leader after two rounds after posting a 134 (-10) to take a three shot lead over Christina Stockton of San Francisco (137).
Wednesday's final round is scheduled to begin at 10:30 PDT.
