CSUN Women's Hoops to Host Postseason Banquet on April 23

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The Cal State Northridge women's basketball program will hold its postseason banquet Saturday, April 23 at the University Club on the Cal State Northridge campus. The event will run from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and is open to the public as the Matadors reflect and celebrate a successful 2010-11 season.
"We're excited to have this opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our student-athletes both on and off the court," CSUN head coach Jason Flowers said. "Although the year didn't end as we had hoped, we improved throughout the course of the season and want to recognize our players for all their hard work."
The cost for the event is $35 per person. In addition to remarks and awards from the Matador coaching staff and players, attendees will receive dinner from the acclaimed kitchen of the University Club.

Northridge finished the 2010-11 season with a 4-26 overall record and 4-12 mark in the Big West Conference. The four wins doubled their league win total from the previous season.
Individually, Jasmine Erving earned All-Big West Conference Second Team honors for the second-straight year after leading the team in scoring (14.9 points) and rebounding (6.9) per game. She also became the ninth player in school history to reach 1,000 career points.
The team also said goodbye to four graduating seniors: Analee Viena-Lota, Anna Simmons, Bianca Davies and Janet Alvarado. Viena-Lota finished her four-year career with the Matadors ranked among the school's career leaders in starts, minutes played and rebounds.
