NORTHRIDGE - 2011
Jory Rucker qualified for the Big West Championships in the
long jump in his first season at Northridge ... jumped a
season-best 23-5.25 (7.14) in the final to finish fourth
among 16 jumpers ... also jumped 22-7.25 (6.89) to finish
second at the Cal State LA Twilight Open ... placed 16th in the
long jump at the MPSF Indoor Championships after jumping
22-4.25 (6.81) which was his indoor season-best.
FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL
Rucker competed in track, football and basketball at Franklin High
School in Elk Grove, Calif. ... earned All-Delta Valley League
honors in the long jump as a junior and senior ... was also an
all-league cornerback for the Wildcats football team ... won a pair
of JV basketball championships in 2006-07 and 2007-08 ... also
earned Scholar-Athlete and Honor Roll recognition ... graduated in
2010 with a 3.47 grade point average.
