Carter qualified for the Big West Championships in the 400 meter hurdles ... ran a season-best 54.12 to finish 16th in the prelims and did not reach the final ... ran a season-best 51.12 in the 400 meters at the Sun Angel Track Classic (Apr. 10) ... ran an indoor season-best 51.53 in the 400 meters at the Boise State Invitational (Feb. 13).

2009
Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Matadors.

Competed in track & field, cross country and basketball at West High School in Bakersfield, Calif. ... was named MVP of the track team and earned All-SWYL honors ... the Vikings won a league championship in 2005 ... graduated in 2008.
