Jory Rucker finished fifth in the long jump at the Big West Championships (May 11) ... posted a best leap of 23-7.50 (7.20) during the championships ... season and career-best 23-11.75 (7.31) came on his first attempt at the Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational (Apr. 28) where he finished third. INDOOR SEASON: qualified for the long jump at the MPSF Championships (Mar. 22-23) where he finished 15th with a personal-best of 22-6.50 (6.87) ... was one of three CSUN men named to the 2013 MPSF All-Academic Team  

Rucker was in the final of the long jump at the Big West Championships for the second straight season ... wound up 13th with a best mark of 21-10.75 (6.67) which came on his second attempt ... season-best of 22-0.75 (6.72) came at the Tiny Lister Classic (Apr. 7) where he placed eighth out of 28 long jumpers. INDOOR SEASON: had an indoor-best long jump of 22-0.75 (6.72) at the Great Dane Classic in Armory, NY (Jan. 20). 

Qualified for the Big West Championships in the long jump in his first season at Cal State Northridge ... posted a CSUN season and meet-best 23-5.25 (7.14) in the final to finish fourth among 16 jumpers ... also jumped 22-7.25 (6.89) to finish second at the Cal State LA Twilight Open. INDOOR SEASON: placed 16th in the long jump at the MPSF Indoor Championships after jumping 22-4.25 (6.81) which was his indoor season-best.

Competed in track, football and basketball at Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Calif. ... earned All-Delta Valley League honors in the long jump as a junior and senior ... was also an all-league cornerback for the Wildcats football team ... won a pair of JV basketball championships in 2006-07 and 2007-08 ... also earned Scholar-Athlete and Honor Roll recognition ... graduated in 2010 with a 3.47 grade point average.
