Nicholas DiMartino had a solid sophomore season as he advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas ... qualified in the long jump as well as a running as a member of the CSUN 4x100 relay squad ... posted a best of 23-11.75 (7.31) and finished 27th in the long jump ... the relay ran 40.84 to place 17th out of 24 teams ... had an impressive Big West Championship meet finishing second in the long jump (25-4.75), third in the 100 meters (10.85), third in the 200 meters (21.43) while running the anchor leg of the Matadors' conference champion 4x100 relay effort ... his 100 and 200 meter times were both season-bests while his season-best in the long jump ranks fifth in CSUN history. INDOOR SEASON: Finished 12th in the long jump at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 23) after posting a best of 23-2 (7.06) which was a season-best.

DiMartino qualified for the long jump at the Big West Championships at UC Irvine (May 12) ... in his first conference meet, finished fourth with a season-best jump of 23-10.25 (7.27) ... achieved his top mark on his first attempt of the meet ... took third at the Cal-Nevada Championships (Apr. 1) with a best mark of 23-7.50 (7.20) ... finished fourth at the Cal State LA Twilight Open (Apr. 19) with a best of 22-11 (6.98). INDOOR SEASON: did not compete during the indoor season.
