Matador Alum Sean Franklin Named to U.S. Soccer Training Camp Roster

Former Matador soccer standout Sean Franklin and the rest of the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team will call the Home Depot Center home for the next two weeks as they prepare to face Sweden.

The two teams will square off against one another on Jan. 24 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT.

The reigning Major League Soccer (MLS) Rookie of the Year is one of eight defenders who were invited by Head Coach Bob Bradley to train in the inaugural friendly of 2009. Joining Franklin on the roster are MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Jon Busch, MLS Defender of the Year Chad Marshall, and MLS Comeback Player of the Year Kenny Cooper.
