Ball started for head coach Bill Propster for the Westlake team that won the Marmonte League in 2009. Along the way, Ball was named League MVP, Team MVP and All-CIF. Ball graduated in 2010 as the all-time leading scorer in WHS soccer history.
Sam Ball was born on Dec. 3, 1991 in London, England...parents are Sally and Tony Ball...has two brothers, Alex (16) and Will (12)...lists among his favorites Manchester United and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, actors Matthew Perry, Morgan Freeman and Eva Longoria-Parker, TV shows "The Big Bang Theory" and "Friends" and the movie "The Shawshank Redemption"...chose CSUN because of the soccer program and location close to home...his greatest sports moment came when he scored a goal in the National Cup Final in England in front of 50,000 fans...picked the number 13 because it is lucky to him...feels that replay for offsides calls would be beneficial...the most famous people he's met are Steven Spielberg and Harry Redknapp...would most like to meet his grandfather...has moved 13 times in the past 18 years...the title of his autobiography would be "Finding My Feet."
