Northridge Men's Soccer Kicks Off The 2008 Season Against Georgetown

The Cal State Northridge Men's Soccer team begins its 2008 season with two non-conference games at Matador Field this weekend as they face the Georgetown on Friday at 4:30pm, and Alabama A&M on Sunday at 2:30. This will be the first time that Northridge has competed against Georgetown, with the Matadors also looking to extend their streak of nine season-opening games without a loss under Head Coach Terry Davila. Junior Moy Gomez scored what would have been the fourth goal of his Northridge career as the Cal State Northridge men's soccer team defeated California, 1-0, in an exhibition match Saturday. Gomez took a cross from junior Sunghyun Kim and beat the Golden Bear goalkeeper to his right. Junior Milan Radovic also picked up an assist on the tally. (MORE)
Matador Men's Soccer Tabbed Fourth in Big West Preseason Poll

Big West Conference men's soccer coaches have predicted a fourth-place finish for the Matadors in 2008 according to the results of the coaches' preseason poll, the Big West Conference announced Monday. The Matadors received 26 points in the poll and will open their season on Aug. 29 as part of the Northridge Tournament when they host Georgetown at 4:30 p.m. (MORE)
