NORTHRIDGE, Calif. ---

The CSUN men's soccer team (0-2) lost 2-1 to Air Force Sunday afternoon in a non-conference contest in Colorado Springs, Colo. Sagi Lev-Ari scored his second goal in as many games for the Matadors, but the Falcons quickly answered to tie the score and then found the game winner in the second half.

Lev-Ari opened the scoring with his second goal of the young season on the strike of 10 minutes into the contest. Juan Samayoa picked up an assist on the goal.

However, Air Force needed 63 seconds to find an equalizer and the teams went to the halftime knotted at 1-1.

In the second half, the Falcons struck early and scored on the strike of 50 minutes to take a 2-1 lead. CSUN would fight back and a header from Lev-Ari was saved off the line by the Air Force defense.

Trevor Morley and Edwin Rivas each had a shot on goal for CSUN, although Air Force held a 15-9 advantage in the category.

In goal, Kevin Marquez made four stops for CSUN. His counterpart, Jake Schenk, made three stops. Rivas, Samayoa and Benjamin Asor all saw the yellow card for CSUN.

The Matadors remain on the road for their next two contests, heading to Tulsa, Okla. for the Holiday Inn Hurricane Classic. Once there, CSUN will face UAB (9/5) and the host Golden Hurricane (9/7).
