Arthur Chung Finishes Tied for Third at CSU Bakersfield Invitational

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Junior Arthur Chung's career-best finish led a quartet of Matador golfers competing as individuals Monday and Tuesday at the CSU Bakersfield Invitational at Seven Oaks C.C.

Chung fired rounds of 69-71-72 to finish the three-round tournament at four under-par 212. His opening round 69 ties for Northridge's third-best round of the season as does his tournament score of 212. The third place finish is the first top-10 finish of Chung's Matador career.

The Matadors did not compete as a team Monday and Tuesday, but did tie with the host Roadrunners in a dual match on Sunday.

Sophomore Chris Russo tied for 19th at (+5) 221 with rounds of 78-70-73, freshman Ryan Green tied for 27th at (+7) 223 following rounds of 75-75-73 and freshman Jake Katz rounded out the CSUN foursome as he tied for 32nd at (+8) 224 after posting rounds of 77-72-75.

Cal State Northridge returns to action at the USC Collegiate Invitational at North Ranch G.C. in Westlake Village, Calif. The 54-hole tournament runs Feb. 28-Mar. 1.
