Matadors Sit Sixth After Two Rounds at Ron Moore Invitational

DENVER, Colo. - Sophomore Nick Delio is tied for third at seven under-par 137 after rounds of 68-69 while Cal State Nortridge is in sixth place after two rounds of the Ron Moore Invitational at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club.
Delio is just one shot back of co-leaders Pat Grady and Kevin Kring of Denver who are tied atop the leaderboard at -8, 136. Delio fired an opening round four under-par 68 and followed up with a second round three under-par 69.
Erik Jarvey is also in the top 15 as the senior is tied for 14th at one under-par, 143 after rounds of 71-72. Also for Northridge, Jeff Freund is tied for 55th at +8, 152 after rounds of 73-79, Casey Piper is tied for 63rd at +9, 153 after rounds of 79-74 and Greg Gauvin is tied for 81st at +13, 157 after rounds 75-82.
Colorado blistered the field with team rounds of 276-274 and sits at -26, 550. The Buffaloes have a 16 shot lead over second place Air Force (566) heading to Tuesday's final round. New Mexico State (578) is third followed by Weber State (578), Boise State (580) and the Matadors (581).
The final round of the 2008 Ron Moore Invitational is Tuesday beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
