Nick Delio Posts Final Round 72 to Finish Tied for 103rd at NCAA Championship

Ooltewah, Tenn. - Cal State Northridge junior Nick Delio posted a final round of even-par 72, his best of the championship, as he wound up tied for 103rd at the NCAA Championship at The Honors Course.
Delio, who was named to the Division I Ping All-West Region Team on Wednesday, finished his first NCAA Championship tournament with rounds of 76-77-72 to tie for 103rd at nine over-par 225.
The junior from Valencia, Calif., capped his junior season with a stroke average of 71.7 which is a Cal State Northridge season record. Delio has now posted season stroke averages of 71.94 (2007-08) and 72.45 (2008-09) in his three seasons as a Matador. His career stroke average of 72.04 is also a Northridge record.
Although he struggled to post his best scores in the championship, he did finish sixth-best among the field in par-five scoring at seven under-par.
