TEMPE, Ariz. - Cal State Northridge posted team rounds of 285-303 for a two-round 588 and is tied for 15th after two rounds of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational. Sophomore Nick Delio is tied for 27th to pace the Matadors.
The Matadors are just seven shots out of the top-10 as they sit 15th in the 17-team field.
Delio fired a blistering three under-par 68 in Friday's opening round but slipped to a five over-par 76 in the afternoon round. Delio is currently in 27th place at two over, 144. Erik Jarvey is also in contention at four over-par 146 after rounds of even-par 71 and four over 75. Jarvey is tied for 42nd heading into Saturday's final round.
Arizona State's Cameron Edens is the individual leader at five under-par 137 after rounds of 71-66. The host Sun Devils also hold the team lead with a seven stroke cushion over Denver.
Also for the Matadors, Jason Rosenkranz and Clint Oleson are both tied for 67th at seven over-par 149. Both Rosenkranz and Oleson posted identical rounds of 73-76. Jeff Freund is in 94th place after two rounds at +17, 159 after rounds of 82-77.
