Matadors Third After Two Rounds at Anteater Invitational

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - The Cal State Northridge men's golf team carded rounds of 295-299 on Monday and is in third place after two rounds at the Anteater Invitational at El Niguel C.C. Sophomore Nick Delio is in third place to lead the Matadors.

With a two-round 594, Northridge trails only host UC Irvine (585) and Texas El-Paso (591) in the 10-team field.

Delio fired rounds of one over-par 73 and one under-par 71 for a Monday score of even-par 144. Delio trails individual leader John Chin of UC Irvine by five strokes heading into Tuesday's final round.

Jason Rosenkranz is also in the top-10 after two rounds as the sophomore carded an opening round 71 but slipped to a second round 77 and is currently tied for seventh at (+4) 148. Senior Erik Jarvey is tied for 16th at (+6) 150 after rounds of 76-74, Clint Oleson is tied for 23rd at (+8) 152 after rounds of 75-77 and Jeff Freund is tied for 38th at (+13) 157 after posting rounds of 77-80.

The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday.
