2013-14 Big West Conference All-Speciality Team
Irvine, Calif. – Stephen Maxwell (6-7, 220, Junior, Forward, Woodland Hills, Ca) earned first team honors while Josh Greene (6-0, 180, Senior, Guard, Los Angeles, Ca) and Stephan Hicks (6-6, 200, Junior, F/G, Thousand Oaks, Ca) earned Honorable Mention accolades in a vote of the Big West Conferences' nine head coaches.
The Big West Conference all-league teams and the All-Specialty Awards were announced on Monday.
Maxwell has enjoyed his best season in his three-years in a Matador uniform. Maxwell is averaging a team-leading 17.9 ppg (#3 in the BWC) and a team-leading 9.0 rebounds per game (#2 in the conference). Maxwell also has chalked up a team leading .563 (#4 in the BWC) shooting percentage.
Maxwell leads the Big West Conference in offensive rebounds (3.8 orpg), and is ninth in the regular season in free throw percentage (.751).
Greene and Hicks also enjoyed their best seasons at Cal State Northridge. Hicks has averaged 16.9 ppg (#6 in the conference) and 6.7 rpg (#7 in the BWC). Greene has checked in at 15.6 ppg (#8 in the BWC) while leading the conference in free throw percentage (.920, 149-for-162, sixth-best in the nation).
