The 16-7 record set by the current team is the second-best start of any Northridge baseball team since joining the Big West conference in 2001, tying the mark set by the 2002 Big West Championship-winning squad that compiled a 16-7 record during the first 23 games of their respective season.
With victories over various nationally-ranked teams including San Diego, Connecticut, and East Carolina, Rousey and his team are currently battling their way up the conference standings in an effort to secure a spot in the postseason.
