2009

Made his first start of the season at second base vs. Loyola Marymount (2/27) ... collected his first RBI of the season vs. Texas Tech (2/28) ... collected his first hit of the season vs. Evansville (3/3) ... drove in his third run at Nebraska (3/7 Gm. 2) ... made his pitching debut at CSUN, struckout one batter in 1.0 innings vs. Columbia (3/20) ... pitched 2.0 innings and struckout one batter vs. UCSB (3/27) ... earned hs first victory of the season on the mound in the Matador's 5-1 victory over UNLV and struckout a season-high four batters in the process (3/31).

MOORPARK HIGH SCHOOL

Graduated with a 3.1 GPA ... was a quarterback for the football team for three seasons, and pitched for the baseball team all four years ... earned All-League honors in 2008 for his success on the mound for the Musketeers.

Parents are Brenda and Wendell Wright ... has one brother, Forrest ... considered going to Cal Poly, UCSB, USC, UCLA, and San Diego State but chose to attend Northridge because of the school's reputation and solid business program ... cheers for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dwayne Wade ... Will Smith and Scarlett Johansson as his favorite actor and actress ... enjoys watching "That 70's Show" and the movie "American Gangster" ... enjoys eating chicken but does not like wasabi ... likes to listen to The Beatles and John Lennon ...
