Matthew Telesco finished up his freshman season at Cal State Northridgewith a .172 batting average in 22 games (seven starts), one double and two RBI. He made his debut as a defensive replacement in Game 1 and had one at-bat as a pinch hitter in Game 2 of a doubleheader vs. Seattle University (2/19). He had a pinch-hit two-run double against Valparaiso (2/26), started the game and went 1-for-4 in the win at Lamar (3/6), and went 1-for-3 with a run scored in a 2-1 win at Bakersfield (4/10).


Matthew Telesco played second base for the Knights from 2008-10 under head coach Chad Thornhill. He started each of those seasons and helped lead the team to the CMAC championship in 2008-09 with a .477 batting average. During his time at Bullard, Telesco earned First Team All-League (CMAC), First Team All-Valley, and Third Team All-State honors. Telesco graduated in 2010 with a 3.0 GPA.
