February 17, 2012 Matadors Open 2012 Season with Trip to State Capital, Host #14 UCLA Big plans are in the works for 2012 with the 54th season of Matador baseball rapidly approaching. Northridge comes into the year with top returning talent and the infusion of skilled newcomers to give the program a number of reasons to look forward to a Big West championship run this year. The Matadors return a total of 16 letterwinners and two redshirts from a year ago and add four junior transfers to the program, giving more depth and experience to a team that is looking to be a force in the Big West Conference this season.
February 4, 2012 Matadors Welcome Back Alumni for Friendly Contest After an exhibition that was more about camaraderie than winners and losers, the 2012 Cal State Northridge Matadors exchanged handshakes and hugs with their alumni brothers at Matador Field on Saturday afternoon. The Alumni Game, now in its second edition under head coach Matt Curtis, allowed current Matadors and players of the past to reconnect on the diamond and look toward the future of the baseball program at CSUN.
February 4, 2012 Matadors to Host Alumni Game on February 4 The 2012 Cal State Northridge Baseball Alumni Game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. at Matador Field, head coach Matt Curtis announced Tuesday. The annual event will give family, friends and fans the chance to enjoy a day at the ballpark watching a scrimmage between the current Matador players and their alumni counterparts.
December 1, 2011 Matadors to Host Pair of Winter Baseball Camps The Cal State Northridge Matadors will host a pair of winter baseball camps at Matador Field before the spring season gets underway, head coach Matt Curtis announced Wednesday. The Junior Matador Camp is tailored to players in grades 1-8, while the High School Showcase Camp is limited to players currently in grades 9-12.

September 30, 2011 Matador Baseball Program to Host Fall Training Camp The Cal State Northridge baseball program will host a training camp this fall at Matador Baseball Field for all players in grades 6-8, head coach Matt Curtis announced Friday. The camp, which runs from October 23rd to November 20th, will be broken down into two sessions each week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, for five weeks.

Wilson joins the Matadors after serving as an assistant coach at San Joaquin Delta College from 2008-11.
September 20, 2011 Former Matador Pitcher Chuckie Fick Named to Team USA Former Cal State Northridge pitcher Chuckie Fick has been named to the Team USA 2011 World Cup/Pan Am Qualifying roster, USA Baseball announced on Thursday. The team will compete in both the IBAF Baseball World Cup in Panama City, Panama, Oct. 2-15 and Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Oct. 20-25.
September 14, 2011 Dennis Machado Named CSUN Pitching Coach Dennis Machado has been hired as an assistant coach for the baseball team, head coach Matt Curtis announced Wednesday. Machado will primarily serve as the team’s pitching coach beginning immediately.
August 25, 2011 Adam Barry Named to Summer Collegiate All-American Team by Perfect Game USA Cal State Northridge Matador outfielder Adam Barry has been named to the Summer Collegiate All-American Team by Perfect Game USA, the organization announced Thursday. Barry was one of 48 national players selected to the team and one of just three players from the Big West Conference to earn the honor.
