CSUN junior second baseman Ryan Raslowsky was named to the 2014 Coastal Plain League East Division All-Star team and was selected as the league's Hitter of the Week over the weekend, the league announced Monday. Raslowsky is one of six members of the Edenton Steamers to be selected to play in the all-star game, which will be held on July 14 in Morehead City, N.C.
Raslowsky has been one of the top hitters all season long in the CPL, having also been named to CPL Select team that took on the USA Collegiate National Team in June. This past week, he hit .500 with eight RBIs on two doubles and 15 total bases for the Steamers. He finished with a .577 slugging percentage and a .552 on-base percentage while also tacking on four stolen bases in four tries.
Raslowsky has led the Steamers to a 24-9 record so far this summer, including a 21-7 start that resulted in a first half championship for the club. In 26 games, Raslowsky leads the team and is second in the league with a .379 batting average. He ranks third in the CPL with 39 hits, one behind the leaders, and has three doubles, a triple and 16 RBIs to his credit. Raslowsky also has 17 stolen bases in 18 attempts, good for third in the league.

Celebrating its 18th season in 2014, the CPL features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
